Yes. Most of our students start from zero. During the trial lesson, the teacher assesses the student's level and recommends a suitable course.

Our courses are open to students aged 5 to 17. Children aged 5 to 6 start with the Preschool French Course.

Yes. Siblings at a similar level can join a pair class.

Yes. One-on-one lessons are adapted to each student's needs and pace, and suit students preparing for exams or IB / IGCSE.

All FrenchJoy teachers are native French speakers experienced in teaching children and teenagers. They also help design our courses and classroom activities.

All lessons take place live on Zoom. Students just need a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection.

Lesson length depends on age, with preschool lessons lasting 30 minutes. Classes are built around interactive activities such as games, songs and conversation to match children's attention spans.

We use French-published textbooks for children and teens that are aligned with the DELF exams, together with activities designed by our teachers.

Every two months, parents receive a written progress report covering their child's progress and the focus for the next stage.

Yes. HKDSE French uses the DELF A2 exam. Reaching A2 from zero takes time, so we recommend that interested students start early. For details, see DELF & HKDSE.

Yes. International school students can take one-on-one lessons with targeted preparation for IB French or IGCSE French.
