Terms & Conditions

Before enrolling, please read the following arrangements for lessons, fees and make-up lessons.

1Fees and payment

  • Once you have enrolled and paid, your place cannot be transferred to anyone else.
  • Paid lessons must be used within 90 days. Unused lessons expire after this period, with no refund or extension.

2How fees are charged

  • Fees are calculated every two months based on the number of lessons actually scheduled.
  • Invoices are issued in the third week of the month, and payment is due before the new term begins.
  • Payment by bank transfer only.

3Group class absences and make-up lessons

  • Students may be absent once a month for any reason, with one make-up lesson arranged. Absences do not reduce fees or postpone lessons.
  • At least 8 hours' notice is required to arrange a make-up lesson.
  • Make-up lessons may be taught by another teacher, in a group at a similar level.
  • Confirmed make-up times cannot be changed. A missed make-up lesson counts as used.

4One-on-one absences and make-up lessons

  • For absences due to illness or personal reasons, please give 8 hours' notice.
  • Make-up lessons must be completed within the same month, or the following month in special circumstances.
  • Confirmed make-up times cannot be changed or cancelled. A missed make-up lesson will not be rescheduled.

5Late arrival and no-shows

  • Late arrival does not extend the lesson; it ends at the scheduled time.
  • If a student has not joined within 15 minutes of the start and has not told us in advance, it counts as an absence: the lesson is used, with no make-up lesson or refund.

6Before class and class rules

  • Please log in to Zoom 5 minutes early to test your camera, microphone and connection.
  • Please have a notebook, stationery and class notes ready (digital or printed).
  • If a lesson is affected by a technical problem on the teacher's side, a make-up lesson will be arranged. Please contact FrenchJoy straight away.

7Digital learning and privacy

  • Lessons are recorded for internal teaching management and quality review.
  • Recordings are never made public or used for promotion; for any other use, we will ask for the student's consent first.

8General terms

  • FrenchJoy may amend these terms at any time. Amendments take effect as soon as they are posted on the official website, without separate notice.
  • In case of any dispute, FrenchJoy reserves the right of final decision.
