FrenchJoy respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect the personal data you provide through this website.
Personal data we collect
When you fill in the trial booking form on this website, we collect: the student's name, age and current grade; phone number; email address; learning goal; French level; preferred class type; preferred lesson times; how you heard about FrenchJoy; the referrer's phone number (if applicable); and any notes you provide.
Why we collect it
We use this data only to: contact parents to arrange trial lessons and classes; assess the student's level and plan a suitable course and learning path; handle enrolment, scheduling and fees; give parents feedback on progress; respond to enquiries; and understand how parents found us so we can improve our service.
Disclosure and transfer
We never sell or rent your personal data. To arrange lessons, we share only the information needed with the student's teacher. We also use third-party services, such as website hosting and cloud spreadsheets, to store and process form data, and their servers may be located outside Hong Kong.
Lesson recordings
Lessons may be recorded for internal teaching management and quality review only. Recordings are never made public or used for promotion. If we wish to use them for any other purpose, we will ask parents for consent first.
Referrer information
If you give us a referrer's phone number, please make sure they agree first. We use it only to confirm the referral and for no other purpose.
Retention and security
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above, and then delete it. We take reasonable steps to protect it against unauthorised access, processing or loss.
Access and correction
Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to access and correct the personal data we hold about you or the student, and to ask us to stop using it. To do so, please contact us on WhatsApp (+852 9807 2766).
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for advertising or tracking.
